Can everybody have implants?

Implantium UK can direct you to a dentist who will discuss the feasibility of dental implants, an individual treatment plan and the costs of treatment.

As every individual is unique and has specific needs, our dentists offer an in-depth consultation as part of the process, so that you can meet your dentist and talk through your exact treatment plan.

Are there any age restrictions?

In order to place implants, the bone must have stopped growing, so there is a lower age limit on implant treatment. However, there is no upper age limit.

How much do implants cost?

Costs of implant treatment can vary depending on your individual requirements and sometimes additional, more complex work may be required, which may incur additional costs, such as:

  • Bone grafting
  • Temporary replacement teeth
  • Extractions
  • Sinus Lifts
  • Some diagnostic wax-ups
  • Dental bars to retain dentures
  • Cobalt chrome partial dentures and frameworks

A cost plan is developed after a consultation so these fees can be calculated accurately.

In the long term, many people find implant treatment is a cost-effective solution for them.

Is the surgery painful?

In order to minimise discomfort, implant placement is conducted under local anaesthetic.
After the anaesthesia wears off, some minor discomfort can be expected, but your dentist can alleviate any concerns you have.

How long until I get my complete restoration?

Healing time can take anywhere from 6 weeks to 9 months depending on your individual time treatment plans.

Usually, the healing process of the implant into the bone (osseointegration) takes 6 – 8 weeks.

How long do dental implants last?

A successfully integrated dental implant given proper care should last for many years. In some cases, implants have been seen to last up to 40 years.

What is guided surgery/ImplantPilot®?

ImplantPilot® is a revolutionary new guided surgery system that works in conjunction with Implantium UK. Guided surgery makes dental implant placement predictable, as the position of the implant is planned before surgery. The precision of ImplantPilot® means that, in most cases, implants can be placed without lifting up the gums. This means the procedure time is reduced, healing time is lessened and post-procedure discomfort is greatly reduced. This precision may also mean that previously unsuitable patients can have implant treatment.
